How to hang your bookshelf signs
Looks like you're the new owner of a bookshelf sign straight from Daiku's Workshop!
So we thought we would make this handy guide to show you just how to hang your new sign.
You can of course attach it how ever and wherever you would like - but these are just the ways we have found work for us.
Option 1 - Mounting Tape
(we recommend using 3M branded mounting tape - but we have also used clear gel mounting tape from various brands with success)
- Wipe the mounting plate of your sign clean with a paper towel, microfibre cloth or alcohol-free wipe.
- Peel the backing paper from the mounting tape and apply to mounting plate in your preferred direction
- Line up the front edge of the mounting plate to your mounting surface (we recommend the underside of your chosen shelf). One you have your position chosen, remove the second backing paper and press to mounting surface firmly for 10-20 seconds.
Option 2 - Using the included screws
(screws included should be ideal for most types of wood or chipboard bookcases - Daiku's Workshop will not be held liable for any damage to bookcases or other mounting surfaces due to misuse of screws)
- Wipe the mounting plate of your sign clean with a paper towel, microfibre cloth or alcohol-free wipe.
- Line up mounting plate to surface as desired - we recommend securing it here now with a piece of masking tape if you are worried about lining up the plate while screwing.
- Use screw driver or drill to screw into surface (if holes need to be pre-drilled for your chosen mounting surface we recommend using a piece of masking tape or paper to mark the position of the holes in the mounting plate to ensure correct spacing)
We have even made a handy video if you need
Once you've got your signs all hung and your shelves all decorated, please consider sending us a photo to show them off!
